Our BeliefsEstablished in 1988, Ashe medical associates are a primary care family medicine practice located in Jefferson (Ashe County), North Carolina. We believe everyone is entitled to excellent local medical care. We honor and practice in the Hippocratic tradition of medicine. We are a Christian medical practice and work first and foremost for God, “the Great Physician.” We welcome people of all faiths and lifestyles to our practice. We maintain active membership in the Christian Medical Association.
We do not make referrals for abortions, morning after pills, or participate in doctor assisted suicide; we believe in the sanctity of human life. Potential new patients in search of these services will not be satisfied with our care.
We honor patient privacy, but still believe in parental notification for issues of contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, and unplanned pregnancy.
We do not treat patients for their long-term chronic pain. We refer to regional specialists in pain management, as the practice of drug diversion is rampant in our community.
